Irene (Emma Vilarasau) vive con Mateo (Fernando Fernán-Gómez), su padre, y con su hijo David (Roger Coma), un joven de 22 años. La convivencia es armoniosa y feliz, pero surge un conflicto: David, que es un brillante estudiante de arquitectura, ha decidido irse a vivir con su novia Clara (Marta Etura), una cajera de hipermercado. Pese a su talante liberal, Irene no logra entender una relación tan dispar. Sin embargo, David encuentra en su abuelo la complicidad necesaria para llevar a cabo sus planes. Mateo es un anciano octogenario y vitalista a pesar de su dura historia: era un niño durante la Guerra Civil española (1936-1939), y en ella perdió su casa y a toda su familia. Pero nada de eso pudo con su energía y sus ganas de vivir. Un día, sin embargo, Mateo llega con una terrible noticia.

Patricia Ferreira has got a lot of interesting things to tell in this movie, but she can't. Unfornately, the story goes of her hands like fresh water. Although the actors are brilliant, for example Fernando Fernán Gómez, who is absolutely wonderful in this character, or the beautiful Emma Vilarasau and the young Marta Etura...

March 15h " No habrá paz para los malvados" by Enrique Urbizu

Madrid, principios del siglo XXI. Un día, el inspector de policía Santos Trinidad, volviendo a casa muy borracho, se ve involucrado en un triple asesinato. Pero hay un testigo que consigue escapar y que podría incriminarlo. Santos emprende una investigación destinada a localizar y a eliminar al testigo. Mientras tanto, la juez Chacón, encargada de la investigación del triple crimen, avanza meticulosamente en la búsqueda del asesino hasta que descubre que lo que parecía un simple caso de tráfico de drogas es, en realidad, algo mucho más peligroso.

The police inspector Santos Trinidad gets involved in a triple murder but there is a witness that manages to escape and could incriminate him. Santos begins an investigation to find and eliminate him. Meanwhile, Judge Chacon, who is investigating the triple murder, goes on looking for the murderer but what seems a simple case of drugs actually is something far more dangerous.

SINOPSIS:

Fausta (Magaly Solier) padece de "La teta asustada", una enfermedad que se transmite por la leche materna de mujeres maltratadas durante la época del terrorismo en el Perú. Los infectados nacen sin alma, porque del susto se escondió en la tierra, y cargan un terror atávico que les aísla por completo. Pero Fausta esconde algo más; guarda un secreto que no quiere revelar, hasta que la súbita muerte de su madre desencadenará hechos inesperados que transformarán su vida y la de otros. Seleccionada por Perú como candidata al Oscar 2010 en la categoría de película de habla no inglesa.

STORYLINE:

Fausta is suffering from a rare disease called the Milk of Sorrow, which is transmitted through the breast milk of pregnant women who were abused or raped during or soon after pregnancy. While living in constant fear and confusion due to this disease, she must face the sudden death of her mother. She chooses to take drastic measures to not follow in her mother's footsteps.

Érase una vez, que Juan Pérez, el más pobre de los pobres, un día salta a la fama por un accidente en el que parece que se va a suicidar tirándose de lo alto de un edificio para protestar contra el gobierno por su condición social. El Ministro de Economía, acosado por el escándalo en el que lo responsabilizan de la decisión de Pérez, decide cambiarle la vida y le regala una casita, un auto y un trabajo. Pero cuando otros pobres, amigos de Pérez, se enteran de su cambio de fortuna, deciden imitarlo amenazando con tirarse de diferentes edificios de la ciudad. El Ministro, aterrado ante la posible plaga de pedigüeños, decide declarar la pobreza un delito y así acabar de una vez por todas con los pobres del país. Pérez va dar a la cárcel. Tres años después, Pérez sale de prisión y regresa a su antigua condición social, pero esta vez, y sabiendo que es mejor un día como rico que una vida de pobre, hará todo lo posible para salir de la pobreza… Y lo conseguirá.

Once upon a time, Juan Pérez, the poorest of the poor, reaches fame in a fluke accident in what seemed to be an attempt of suicide, to protest against the government and his social condition. The Ministry of Economy, surrounded by the scandal in which he is blamed by Pérez's decision, decides to reward him changing his life giving him a little house, a car and a job. But when other poor people (Pérez's close friends) find out about his reversal of fortune, decide to imitate him faking suicide attempts in different buildings in Mexico City. The Ministry of Economy, terrified by the glance of having a plague of beggars, decides to declare poverty a crime and hence finish for once and for all with all the poor in the country. Pérez ends up behind bars. Three years later, Pérez is released and goes back to his previous social condition, but this time, aware of having one day as a rich man is better than a life as poor...

Chekhov en la Argentina contemporánea. Mecha y Gregorio están en su casa de campo cerca de La Ciénaga con sus hijos adolescentes. Hace calor. Los adultos beben constantemente, Mecha se corta y esto genera un viaje al hospital y la visita de su hijo José. Un primo, Tali, lleva a sus hijos. Los niños por sí mismos, toman el sol en la piscina sucia, el bailan en la ciudad, corren por las colinas con escopetas, conduciendo coches sin licencia. Una de las chicas le encanta Isabel, una criada de la familia constantemente acusada de robar. Madre e hijo, hijo y hermanas, adolescentes e Isabel están en sus respectivas camas y cuartos de baño con una intimidad escalofriante. Sin adultos para prestar atención, ¿quien está en riesgo?

Sosa (Ricardo Darín) es un abogado que, después de haber perdido su licencia, ingresa en una sociedad ilegal que se encarga de provocar accidentes automovilísticos para estafar a las aseguradoras. Luján (Martina Gusmán) es médica de un hospital de Buenos Aires. Un día los destinos de Sosa y Luján se cruzan.

In Argentina over 8,000 people die in traffic accidents every year. Behind each of these tragedies is a flourishing industry founded on insurance payouts and legal loopholes. Sosa is a lawyer who tours the A&E Departments of the public hospitals and the police stations in search of potential clients. Luján is a young doctor recently arrived from the provinces. Their love story kicks off one night when Luján and Sosa meet in the street. She's trying to save a man's life; he wants him on his client portfolio.

Flama y Moko, dos amigos adolescentes, tratan de aprovechar la ausencia de los adultos para pasar un día a base de comida basura, refrescos y videojuegos en un apartamento de Tlatelolco. Pero dos personajes inesperados irrumpen en la escena: Ulises, un frustrado repartidor de pizzas, y Rita, una vecina que llama a la puerta buscando dónde hornear un pastel.

Flama and Moko are fourteen years old; they have been best friends since they were kids. They have everything they need to survive yet another boring Sunday: an apartment without parents, videogames, porn magazines, soft drinks and pizza delivery. The electricity company, Rita, the neighbor, Ulises, a pizza deliveryman, eleven seconds, the Real Madrid-Manchester game, some chocolate brownies and a horrible painting of ducks, all combine to break the harmony of what promised to be a placid Sunday, and reveal issues such as the parents' divorce, loneliness, the confusion between adolescent love and friendship, as well as frustration in adult life. "Temporada de Patos" is a movie that shows that, when the lights go off, we can see the stars.

Daniel (Pablo Pineda), un joven sevillano de 34 años, es el primer europeo con síndrome de Down que ha obtenido un título universitario. Comienza su vida laboral en la administración pública donde conoce a Laura (Lola Dueñas), una compañera de trabajo sin discapacidad aparente. Y se enamora de ella.

Daniel - a recent university graduate with Down's Syndrome - falls in love on his first day at work in the Department of Social Services. Laura is an outsider who spends her nights in the city's crowded clubs and singles' bars, escaping her problems in the arms of total strangers. Yet despite their apparent incompatibility, the two strike up a moving, bittersweet friendship that touches them both and eventually sets them on the road to happiness.
